advocacy

On one Monday night in 2019, I posted an event online calling for people to join me in a strike for climate action. That Friday morning, a dozen students and parents showed, and with a megaphone that former colleagues at Greenpeace had brought me, I led them through Bangkok chanting our demands to the government.

I didn't quite know what I was doing then, but I quickly learned everything I needed – climate science, energy technologies, law, psychology, social media, politics and more – to inform, inspire and lead the best I could. Over the year, the movement grew and grew, joining in solidarity with youth activists around the world to fight for an equitable future on our home planet.
